One thing good about being in a bad economy is everything has gotten cheaper. One way too boost spending for our economy is Restaurant Week. Now through Labor day, prix-fixe lunch cost $24 and dinner cost $35 at participating restaurants.

Best Place To Pig Out
Posted on: August 11, 2009 | By Maigal

One of my favorite places to pig out is East Buffet in Flushing. This restaurant offers a great variety of Asian seafood and steak that will make your mouth water. My two favorite dishes from this place are the Peking duck and lobster. Even though I’m a Manhattan snob, East Buffet is the only place worthy of riding the 7 train all the way up to Flushing, Queens. Not only is the food great, but the price is CHEAP. They are currently running a promotion where the price is half off. You can’t get a better deal than that. For lunch, from Mon-Thursday, it’s only $7.50 and from Fri-Sun, it’s $9.00. For dinner, from Mon-Thur, it’s $14.50 and Fri-Sun, it’s $15.50. After eating at East Buffet, my stomach tends to expand by 3 inches. Make sure you wear something loose fitting if you decide to give East Buffet a try.
How to get there from Manhattan?
- 7 train to Flushing, Queens.
- LIRR from Penn station
- Zhong Hua Flushing-Chinatown Shuttle Van Service – take it from Division St between Market St & Bowery
