Lately I have been watching a lot of make-up tutorials from Queenie Chan who is a famous make-up artist and beauty columnist in Hong Kong. I love following her make-up tips but her words of wisdom about life, health and love really inspires me to be true to myself and be happy with whatever I have. She is truly inspirational. I wish her a Happy Belated 40 Birthday.
Hot Colors For Asian Skins

If you haven’t noticed, there are a lot of mustard yellows and blood oranges in the runway this Fall. Since most Asians have that yellow undertone in their skin, these two colors really compliment their complexions. These bold colors are a great way to make a statement and get noticed.

There is a saying, Halloween is an excuse for women to dress slutty. So this is what I did. I’m suppose to be a Burlesque girl. Is this costume slutty enough for you guys? I don’t dress like this for any of my guys, but for Halloween, that’s my calling. 
Thank you for those who came out to MHF Halloween Party last night at Buskers Lounge despite the snow and rain. You guys are a real trooper.

What’s hot for next Spring/Summer?

If you have been seeing a lot of tall hot young women walking the streets of New York City this week, that’s because it’s Fashion Week. Lots of great designers are showcasing their Spring/Summer collection for 2012. After watching a lot fashion shows on YouTube, I really regret not going to Parsons School of Design to become a fashion designer. They offered me a really great scholarship too, but stupid me, I thought there was no money in becoming a fashion designer so I ended up going to Rochester Institute of Technology to major in Management Information Systems instead, just like most Asians out there. Oh, am I stereotyping here? My bad! I bet most of you who are reading this blog are probably IT guys. LOL….
Although I really don’t have any fashion background, I do know how to beautify myself with the right clothes, make-up and accessories. Why do you think 70% of the people attending my parties are guys? I have to look good to attract them right? Here is an overview of what’s HOT for Spring/Summer 2012. It seems like neon and pastel colors are the HOT colors for the season. I see a lot of hot pinks and yellows mixed with more subtle colors like white, beige and black. For hair, it’s all about sleeking it back with lots of gel and hairspray to give you a wet hair look. For make-up, red/hot pink lips with a clean face is HOT. It’s all about making a statement with your lips. For shoes, it’s about strappy sandals with super high heels. If you want to look tall and slender, high heels are a must. Overall, for the Spring/Summer 2012 fashion, it’s all about being bold, confident, sexy, yet feminine. That’s what all women should be like, don’t you think?
